An open casting call for a promotional video entitled “We Are Guthrie” will be held on Saturday, March 9 at Community Church (Fellowship Hall) near Exit 151 and Seward Road. Filming will start at 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. This video will showcase the amazing individuals that make Guthrie what it is today. No acting required! No speaking required! You will be prompted to lip sync one short line of music, do a few fun hand-gestures, and that’s it!
We’re wanting you as a Guthrie citizen, just as you are. If you are a football player, wear your uniform. If you are a musician, bring your instrument. If you are a plumber, bring your pipe wrench. If you’re an old-west gun slinger, we want you and your outfit. But no guns please. We are looking for fun and charismatic characters, as well as everyday folks. Be prepared to have fun in front of a camera for 1 to 2 minutes.
Guthrie, this is your 15 seconds to shine! So clear your calendar and stop by between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.. The style of this video requires ages from 10 years to 100. The camera will be preset to that height. So please, no children under the age of ten. And we look forward to a huge turnout and have some fun as well.
Things to remember: You will be asked to sign a model release form. Absolutely no brand names (local, collegiate, or otherwise), no icons or logos on tee shirts, caps or other apparel. No local business brands. Guthrie school team sports, cheer-leading and band uniforms are okay. You may have to stand in line for up to 30 minutes, or asked to come back at another time, so the wait is limited. We want happy bubbly folks, that are proud of who they are and what they do!
