Guthrie convenience store robbed at gunpoint

Update 4:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 18 — Guthrie Police have released two photos of the suspect they believed robbed a Guthrie convenience store at gun point on Monday morning.

Law enforcement is looking for a suspect involved with an early morning armed robbery of a Guthrie convenience store.

Guthrie police were dispatched to Murphy USA, located west of Wal Mart at 1616 S. Division, after a man walked in demanding money while displaying a black, semi-automatic pistol just before 7 a.m.

Quickly, deputies with the Logan County Sheriff’s Office joined in on the manhunt. Despite a few leads, officers were unable to locate the suspect.

The black male suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of money and was seen heading northbound on foot.

He’s described as being 6 feet tall and 170 pounds and last seen wearing a baseball hat, blue jeans and cowboy boots.

Nearby surveillance videos show a similar description.
