GUTHRIE, OKLAHOMA – The Central Rural Electric Cooperative (CREC) Foundation board recently approved a $3,800 grant to go towards the renovation of the greenhouse and to purchase digital timers.

The new greenhouse will regulate the temperature efficiently and effectively, and will feature a new watering system and new metal tables for the plants, said Jordan Miller, the Guthrie High School agricultural education instructor and FFA advisor. She hopes to have the green house completed by September.

The CREC Foundation, a board independent of Central Rural Electric Cooperative, administers a program called Operation Round Up®. The CREC Foundation makes grants available to individual projects within the CREC service area. Visit, http://www.crecfoundation.org, for more information about the CREC Foundation.
