Recently the Guthrie Kiwanis Club gave a $500 contribution to United Way of Logan County.

Kiwanis Club President, Newt Cornwell, Jr. presented the check to United Way President Steve Gentling at the weekly club meeting saying, “The mission of Kiwanis and this club is to make a difference in our community and especially the youth of our community.  This focus is also clearly shared by the United Way of Logan County and its partner agencies.  As a civic organization we are constantly working to make our communities better and this contribution is certainly an investment in that vision.”

In accepting the check Gentling noted that of the almost 17,000 Logan county residents provided assistance from United Way last year, the majority were under the age of 18.

“We are pleased to be making a difference in the lives of the youth of our county” said Gentling in accepting the check.
