Guthrie Lions Club helps victims of wildfires

Members of the Guthrie and Ponca City Lions Clubs ready to assist in the initial distribution of supplies to those impacted by the fires.

Through a grant from Lions Club International, the Guthrie Noon Lions Club was able to purchase essential items for those individuals whose homes were impacted by the recent wildfires in Logan County.

Steve Gentling, Lions Club President said, “Thanks to the significant efforts of Lions Troy Jenkins and David Ball, the club was approved for a grant to help victims of the recent wildfires. The club is here to serve our community and county and we are proud to help in any way we can.”

The initial distribution of supplies and various daily living products was held last Friday, however, there is still a significant volume of supplies available.
