Guthrie names Chang as Library Director

The City of Guthrie announced Suzette Chang as the new Guthrie Public Library Director.

Chang comes to Guthrie after serving in the Metropolitan Library System since 2008. During her tenure with Metropolitan, Chang served as Supervising Librarian and Programming Librarian at the Midwest City branch. In addition, Chang has served as a librarian with the Sam Noble Museum in Norman.

Chang received her Master’s Degree in Library and Information Studies from the University of Oklahoma in December of 2012.

A City’s spokesperson said Chang’s history with the Metropolitan Library System and education equip her with the skills to continue the momentum behind the Guthrie Public Library’s recent success.

Chang takes over the position after former director Cyndi O accepted a similar position in Winnemucca, Nevada. Related story: Library director accepts same position in Nevada
