Guthrie Police Department awarded grant to assist victims of crime

Earlier this month, the Guthrie city council accepted a $199,978.00 grant from the Oklahoma District Attorney’s Council (DAC).

The grant will allow the Guthrie Police Department to retain a victim advocate to assist victims in Logan County, and will allow the department to hire a victim advocate specifically to assist victims within city limits, to provide training to staff and to outfit Guthrie’s Victim Advocacy program with equipment including vehicles with youth car seats, cameras and more.

This award will help provide services to victims of crimes in Guthrie and Logan County in ways unavailable before.
