The nation watched on Thursday evening as Dallas police officers were under attack from a sniper following a Black Lives Matter protest in the streets of downtown Dallas. The following day, the Guthrie Police Department was showered with gifts and well wishes as a reminder of thanks.
Police officers have become frustrated by the way they’re viewed by some throughout the nation, but during adversity Guthrie officers were reminded how important they are to their community.
Children and staff members sent a bouquet of flowers to show their appreciation for the men and women who keep them safe everyday.
The note on the flowers read, “We at Kiddie Kollege want to thank you for everything you do and for keeping us safe.”
