Guthrie Public Schools is once again providing free meals to children throughout the community this summer through its Summer Feeding Program.
The program is available to all children ages 18 and younger from June 1 through June 25.
Meals are served Monday through Thursday at Guthrie Upper Elementary School. Breakfast is available from 8 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., and lunch is served from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Meals at the school site are dine-in only.
Lunch is also available at Guthrie Junior High School from 11:30 a.m. to 11:50 a.m. as a dine-in option.
In addition to the school locations, the district offers grab-and-go lunch meals through several mobile sites across Guthrie:
- Building for Champions (1615 N. Walnut) — 9:30 a.m. to 9:50 a.m.
- Mineral Wells Park (819 S. Division St.) — 11 a.m. to 11:20 a.m.
- Banner Park (11th Street and Warner Avenue) — 11:30 a.m. to 11:50 a.m.
- Harvest Road and Winter Wheat Drive in the Silver Valley Addition — Noon to 12:20 p.m.
District officials remind families that children must be present at all locations to receive a meal.
The summer feeding program helps ensure children continue to have access to nutritious meals while school is out of session.
