State Sen. Chuck Hall has been recognized by the Oklahoma Cattlemen’s Association (OCA) with its 2026 Legislative Appreciation Award for his efforts to support Oklahoma’s beef cattle industry and rural communities.
The award is presented annually to lawmakers who have demonstrated a commitment to protecting and promoting agriculture through their work at the Oklahoma Legislature.
“Chairman Hall has consistently demonstrated a willingness to listen to cattlemen, understand our issues and help advance good policies that strengthen Oklahoma’s family ranching businesses,” said Michael Kelsey, OCA executive vice president.
Hall, who was elected to the Oklahoma Senate in 2018, represents District 20, which includes Logan, Payne, Noble, Pawnee, and Kingfisher counties. As chairman of the Senate Appropriations Committee, Hall has played a key role in securing major investments benefiting Oklahoma agriculture.
Among those investments are funding initiatives for the Oklahoma State University Veterinary School and the OSU Agronomy Research Farm, projects OCA says will have long-term benefits for producers, students, researchers, veterinarians, and rural communities.
“Chairman Hall understands that agriculture is not only part of Oklahoma’s history, but also a critical part of our future,” Kelsey said. “His work to support the OSU Veterinary School and Agronomy Research Farm will benefit cattle producers, veterinarians, researchers, students and rural communities for generations to come.”
The Oklahoma Cattlemen’s Association advocates for legislation impacting beef producers, private property rights, rural communities, and the future of agriculture across the state.
In addition to supporting agricultural education and research, Hall has backed policies focused on protecting private property rights, limiting government regulation, and supporting the ability of farmers and ranchers to operate their businesses without unnecessary burdens, according to OCA.
