Guthrie woman killed in motorcycle accident

A 50-year-old Guthrie woman was killed in a motorcycle accident late Saturday night in southern Logan County.

At 11:34 p.m., emergency crews responded to the intersection of Douglas Blvd. and Simmons Road.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the motorcycle, a 2014 Indian Motorcycle, was stopped at a stop sign on Douglas Blvd. when a 2003 Ford Taurus rear-ended the cycle.

Elizabeth Miller, 50, of Guthrie died at the scene due to injuries sustained in the accident.

The driver, William Thames, 54, of Edmond, was transported to an Edmond hospital with leg injuries. He’s listed in stable condition.

Troopers say helmets were not in use.

The cause of the accident is listed as following to closely.

The driver of the Taurus is identified as Nathaniel Keith Allen, 56, of Okmulgee, who was not injured.
