The Guthrie Bluejay wrestling team had their work cut out for them in the Cushin High School Tournament. The 34-team field once again had some of the best wrestlers around the state.
Guthrie was unable to send a wrestlers to the championship round and finished 29th overall with 26 team points. Allen (TX) took the top spot with 305 points and in a distance second was Heritage Hall and 176 points.
Combined Guthrie wrestlers picked up 16 wins, including forfeits, while dropping 25 matches.
Guthrie gets back into dual action on Tuesday evening when they travel to El Reno.
