Guthrie’s school calendar remains on schedule

Despite three days of instruction time lost for Guthrie Public Schools, the school calendar remains in tact.

Due to weather conditions, the school district cancelled classes on Feb. 19, Feb. 28 and March 4.

The district’s calendar committee built in two snow days in case the number of required instruction time.

The school district is required to be in session a minimum of 1,080 hours per school year.

“We will not have to add days to the end of our calendar at this time, but we are getting close,” Superintendent Dr. Mike Simpson said.

May 27 and 28 are built in the as the snow days.

The last day of school is scheduled for May 24.
