In the middle of the holiday season, Hands of Jesus, a local outreach ministry, is searching for volunteers and donations as they continue to alleviate hunger in Logan County.
The non-profit, non-denominational community ministry helps feeds approximately 500 families per week. Along with food, the group provides personal hygiene items to families in need.
Hands of Jesus receives 20% of the donated food from the Regional Food Bank and 80% from grocery stores primary in Edmond, but are in need of more donations during the Christmas holiday.
The ministry is open on Monday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., Wednesday 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. On Mondays, a bible study is available for those who wish to attend from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
