With football right around the corner, Guthrie Sports Page is sharing some important dates for both the high school and junior high football teams.
PHYSICALS!! – if your player got his physical in May, that’s still good. No player can get on the field on August 13 without a current physical on file.
August 12 – HS Equipment Checkout at BOC – 8 a.m. Srs; 9 a.m. Jrs; 10 a.m. Sophs; 11 a.m. Freshmen – $40 for Practice Packs due at checkout
August 12 – JH Equipment Checkout at Faver – 8 a.m. to Noon
August 12 – Booster Club Meeting at 6 p.m. at the HS
August 12 – HS (9th – 12th) Team Meeting at the Building of Champions – MANDATORY 7 p.m.
August 13 – 1st day of practice M.T.X.E.
August 15 – stay tuned for HS practice details
August 16 – Midnight Madness – early the morning of the 16th at the Practice Field. Parents welcome to watch. Legends will feed the boys afterwards – Thanks to Barry and Carrie Cogburn!
August 17 – Picture Day @ Jelsma. Watch for order form from Jack Roberts. Pictures at 8 a.m. for HS, 8:30 a.m. for JH. Coach will tell the boys when to be where. Coach Ball will have jerseys that morning for the JH. HS will leave immediately after pics and go to practice at the practice field.
August 17 – Meet the BlueJays at 6 p.m. We will feed Band, Softball, Cross Country, Cheer and Football (grades 7-12) athletes at 5:30 p.m. Team announcements, etc. will begin at 6 p.m.

August 20 – First Day of Classes
August 22 – JH (7th & 8th) scrimmage at Stillwater High School Stadium– 6 p.m. They will be fed.
August 23 – HS first Scrimmage vs. Tulsa Kelly and Douglass @ Langston 6 p.m. They will be fed.
August 25 – Deadline for Guymon Charter Bus reservation/payment. Contact Ryan Codding at ryan@signtecokc.com. Spots are going fast, so grab yours early!
August 28 – BlueJay Card Blitz – sell, sell, sell! 5 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. HS only.
August 29 – HS second scrimmage vs. Piedmont at Piedmont 6 p.m. Piedmont feeds.
August 30 – JH Scrimmage vs. Kingfisher (H) 6 p.m. We will feed. (Not on original schedule!)
