Jays begin road trips in Lawton; key district game for Jays

The Lawton Eisenhower Eagles have won three consecutive games and will be riding a lot of momentum when Guthrie arrives to Cameron Stadium.

The game can be heard on Hot 93.7 FM, online at Guthrie News Page, Guthrie Sports Page and the live video feed below (www.youtube.com/GuthrieNews). Note: Bandwidth may play an issue if the game can be streamed live. Check GSP social media pages for updates.

The Eagles have taken advantage of the schedule that they were given to begin district play with wins over Guymon, Piedmont and Woodward.

Lawton Ike started the season with an 0-3 record with losses to cross-town rivals Lawton MacArthur, Lawton and Del City.

The schedule, once again, picks up with Guthrie, Carl Albert and McGuinness in the next three weeks.

Ike is searching for their first winning season since 2010. Dating back to 2012, Ike has compiled a 16-40 record.

If the Eagles are going to reach five-plus wins, they will need senior quarterback RJ Fisher to continue to lead them.

A year ago, Fisher ran for 1,000 yards and threw for nearly 1,400 yards. The multi-threat Fisher is having another great season.

Kenneth Graham compliments Fisher in the running game. The senior running back ran for over 700 yards in 2016 while scoring eight touchdowns.
