Lady listed in stable condition following accident on Highway 105

A Meridian lady was mediflighted to a Oklahoma City hospital on Tuesday afternoon after a two-vehicle accident on Highway 105.

Wreck 07152014At approximately 4:36 p.m., the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Logan County Sheriff’s Office and Guthrie Fire Department responded to the accident just east of Westminster.

Troopers say a 2004 Chevrolet Impala driven by Erma Leger, 79, was traveling east bound on 105 went she traveled left of the center lane striking a 2009 GMC two-ton truck driven by Jesse Woods, 47, of Guthrie who was traveling westbound.

Leger was pinned for 30 minutes until members of the Guthrie rescue could free her. She was air lifted to Southwest Medical Center with head, arm and leg injuries. She is reported to be in stable condition.

Seat belts were in use by both drivers.

The highway was shut d0wn for several minutes as the helicopter used the highway as a landing zone.

One witness tells Guthrie News Page that before the accident occurred they saw Leger driving across the center line of the two-lane highway.
