Local Certified Healthy Oklahoma Annual Award Winners announced

The Logan County Health Department and Logan County Partnership would like to congratulate the organizations that have been selected as winners of one of the five (Schools, Communities, Campuses, Restaurants, Businesses, and Campuses) Certified Healthy Oklahoma award programs. 

Get Fit AdThe Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH), the Oklahoma Academy, the State Chamber of Oklahoma, and the Oklahoma Turning Point Council recently announced the annual award winners for the state Certified Healthy Oklahoma programs. This year, 1,346 applications were submitted from groups throughout the state, and 1,146 award winners received the “Certified Healthy” status.

The five award programs are: Certified Healthy Businesses, Certified Healthy Restaurants, Certified Healthy Schools, Certified Healthy Campuses, and Certified Healthy Communities. There are three award levels for the Certified Healthy Oklahoma programs: Basic, Merit and Excellence.

The following places to become certified with the Certified Healthy Oklahoma programs are:

  • Eagle Ridge Family Treatment Cneter
  • Logan County Health Department
  • Logan County Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Services
  • Mercy Hospital Logan County
  • Red Rock Counseling, LLC
  • City of Guthrie
  • Coyle Elementary School
  • Coyle High School
  • Crescent Elementary School
  • Crescent High School
  • Crescent Middle School
  • Mulhall-Orlando Elementary School
  • Mulhall-Orlando High School

Interested organizations can prepare now to become certified in 2014.  Online applications will be available on Aug. 1, 2014. Criteria for certification can be found on the Oklahoma Turning Point Council website at www.okturningpoint.org.
