The first confirmed COVID case in Logan County was reported on March 19. Less than eight months later, the county has gone over 1,000 cases.
The Oklahoma State Department of Health reports 1,019 Logan County residents have tested for the virus as of Wednesday. The state agency shows 887 people have recovered while three have died to the virus.
OSDH reported 2,177 new COVID-19 cases across the state (119,144 recoveries), bringing the total cumulative number of the state’s positive cases to 142,334.
Nineteen additional deaths were reported Wednesday. Officials have not released information on the latest deaths. Related article: Logan County man is 3rd COVID-related death
For Logan County, Guthrie has had 565 confirmed positive cases and 494 recoveries, which leaves 71 active cases.
Crescent has seen 71 cases, 62 recoveries and one death.
In the unincorporated areas of Logan County, there have been 334 positive cases with 288 recoveries and two deaths.
