The Logan County Master Gardeners took on their latest project today, revitalizing the flower beds at Mineral Wells Park. With the park’s duck population curiously supervising, the dedicated volunteers cleared out weeds and introduced new plants to two of the park’s flower beds. The remaining bed will be addressed in a future session.

This initiative is part of the Oklahoma Master Gardener Program, a volunteer training program conducted by OSU Extension. The program aims to educate and empower community members to contribute to local horticultural efforts.

The Master Gardeners’ efforts not only enhance the beauty of Mineral Wells Park but also promote environmental stewardship and community involvement. The group’s ongoing projects are a testament to their commitment to improving public spaces in Guthrie.

Local residents and park visitors have expressed their appreciation for the gardeners’ hard work, noting the positive impact on the park’s appearance and ambiance.

The Logan County Master Gardeners will continue their work at Mineral Wells Park, ensuring the space remains a vibrant and welcoming area for the community to enjoy.
