Logan county represented well at 4-H Speech Contest

Congratulations to all the participants of the recent Logan county 4-H Speech Contest held at the Mulhall-Orlando Elementary School.  Speaking in front of an audience – even a small group – can be scary and make you anxious.  However, this past Monday, November 4, over 25 brave individuals presented prepared speeches and extemporaneous/impromptu speeches for the judges. 

Prepared speeches are speeches that members have prepared in advance and usually memorize what they are going to say to the audience. 

Extemporaneous/Impromptu speeches, members are given a “prompt” or random question that they prepare a speech on the spot.  They have 2 minutes to come up with an outline of what they will say, key points to share and wrap up with a great ending statement that ties it all together. 

4-H members from across the county participated in the contest and the winner and participants are listed below. 

LOGAN COUNTY 4-H SPEECH CONTEST RESULTS

CLOVERBUD (5 to 7 Years) PREPARED SPEECHES
