Police continue to investigate a traffic accident at a popular intersection that sent one man to jail early Friday morning.
Police arrested a man, whose name was not released at the scene, shortly before 8 a.m. when his Ford Ranger smacked into a red, F150 pickup truck in the middle of the intersection at Pine and Noble.
Guthrie Rescue and EMS were dispatched to the scene, but luckily no one was transported to the hospital via ambulance.
However, the male driver was taken into custody after failing several sobriety tests by a police officer at the scene.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene as west bound traffic was blocked for several minutes as crews worked to clean up the accident.
Officers were unable to finalize a report as of early Friday afternoon on exactly how the accident occurred.
