A Oklahoma City man was admitted into a hospital in serious condition after he had jumped out of a moving vehicle down Interstate 35.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol says James Randolph, 24, of Oklahoma City injured his head, neck, arm and suffered both internal and external injuries when he jumped out of a moving vehicle and struck the roadway.
The accident occured Sunday afternoon at around 5:43 p.m. just south of mile marker 164.
Randolph was mediflighted to OU Medical Center by EagleMed. The southbound lanes were shut down for the helicopter to land and take off.
The driver, Linh Sherman, 24, of Yukon was driving a 2003 Toyota RAV4 and was not injured.
The OHP report does not give a reason as to why Randolph jumped or the rate of speed when he jumped from the vehicle.
