Guthrie High School senior Michael Conner had multiple options when choosing which school he wanted to attend and wrestle for, but in the end he simply wanted to be a Star.

Conner signed his letter with Oklahoma City University Wednesday afternoon inside the GHS Library surrounded by his mother, Toni Conner, Guthrie head wrestling coach Jack O’Connor, top OCU assistant Link Davis, along with multiple friends and faculty.
The 2011 GHS Valedictorian wrapped up a 27-10 senior campaign on the mat that resulted in a state tournament appearance. His team mates and coaches have said on multiple occasions Conner had perhaps the best work ethic on the team.
The OCU wrestling team sent nine of its individuals to the NAIA wrestling championships this past March. Archie Randall is the head coach for the Stars.
