While students continue to enjoy their summer vacation, an estimated 60 kids took part in the Science Matters Mobile Museum this week at the Guthrie Public Library.
Scientist Jim Foster had the kids guessing and participating with hands on experiments as they watched things expand and explode on Wednesday.
The first one-hour session was for families while the second session was aimed toward teens.
Science Matters is a traveling exhibit vehicle that presents powerful learning experiences similar to those of museum-based exhibits, providing discovery learning in areas of the state where museum facilities do not exist.
Filled with hands-on experiments, Science Matters engaged the students as they measure, investigate, create and deduce, allowing them to experience true discovery learning.
