The staff at Katie’s Diner is looking for support from the community to help render aid to the fire victims, who were displaced following an apartment fire earlier this month.
Fire ran rampant throughout the Woodpark Apartments on December 3, killing 14-year-old Saul Bernal and displacing several families. Related article: Fatal apartment fire claims 14 year old
Now Katie’s Diner is hoping to give families a boost this Christmas season.
The diner, located at 120 W. Cleveland, has set up a Giving Tree.
Donations can be placed on the tree and Katie’s will match the donation up to $500.
The Logan County Sheriff’s Office is helping with the cause.
Donations are being accepted until the end of the week.
