Update: Homicide suspect in custody

Updated on Monday, Jan. 4 at 2:45 p.m. — BREAKING: Cody Scruggs, the man wanted in the Sunday night homicide, is in custody and currently being transported to the Logan County Jail.

Updated on Monday, Jan. 4 at 11:43 a.m. — Sheriff officials have identified the victim as 46-year-old Michael Dean Cole.


Updated on Monday, Jan. 4 at 12:30 a.m. —The Logan County Sheriff’s Office is searching for 29-year-old Cody Scruggs (pictured above), who is wanted in the connection to the homicide.

Scruggs, who is considered armed and dangerous at this time, is identified as 5’7, 160 pounds with brown hair and green eyes.

He was last seen wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans in the area of Rollingwood Drive near Coltrane and Simmons.

Logan County deputies are searching for a man in connection to a Sunday evening homicide in south Logan County.

Deputies were called out to 3200 Rollingwood Dr. just after 8 p.m. after a 911 call stating a male had been shot multiple times outside the home.

The home is located northeast of the intersection of Simmons and Coltrane.

Deputies, along with a helicopter from the Oklahoma City Police Department, are searching the area.

Police believe they know who the suspect is and continue to follow leads.
