Mary Lou Smith, 72, of Crescent, OK, passed away on December 09, 2023, peacefully with her daughter by her side.
Mary Lou Smith was born on October 09, 1951, to William and Nannie Frances Wilson in Guthrie. After graduating from Guthrie High School in 1971, she went on to Beauty School and after Beauty School, she worked as a beautician in a local beauty shop with her sister Frances Smith. Later, she worked at Guthrie Junior as the head bread maker and went on to further her career in the food industry as the supervisor of the cafeteria at Mercy Hospital.
In 1971, she met Curtis and they wed in 1972 going on to have 3 children, Matthew Wayne Smith, Jason Kyle Smith, and Jenifer Kaye Steiner.
After retiring from Mercy Hospital in 2003, Mary Lou spent her time camping with her family, taking care of the home, and numerous other hobbies. She enjoyed taking her of her grandchildren and spending time with family.
Mary Lou was preceded in death by her husband Curtis Smith, her two sons Matthew Wayne Smith and Jason Kyle Smith, father William Wilson, mother Nannie Frances Wilson, father in law Jack Smith, mother in law Imogene Smith, brother Billy Joe Wilson, sister Frances Smith, brother-in-law Doug Smith, brother in law Bill Smith, sister in law Janice Smith, one nephew, one niece, one great nephew. She is survived by her daughter Jenifer Steiner and husband David Steiner, grandsons Kyle Walker Smith and Hunter Matthew Smith, granddaughter Eevee Blou Martin, brothers Earl Wilson and LeRoy Wilson, sister-in-law Vicki Biggs and husband Dennis Biggs, brother-in-law Jack Smith, sister in law Shirley Smith, sister in law Pam Smith, 16 nieces and nephews, several great nephews and great nieces, and two great great nephews.
A memorial service for Mary Lou Smith will be held December 23, 2023, at 11:00 am, at Oak Valley Baptist Church in Crescent, OK 73028.
