OHP releases details of fatal accident on SH-74 at Waterloo Road

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol has released their initial report from the fatal accident on Saturday afternoon on State Highway 74 at Waterloo Road. The three-vehicle incident involved a tractor-trailer, dump truck and a small vehicle.

At approximately 2:18 p.m., troopers report a 2009 Honda Accord was westbound on Waterloo Road, failed to stop for the red light and was struck by a 1998 Mack Dump Truck.

The impact of the collision shoved the Accord into a 1984 Peterbilt tractor-trailer rig, which was stopped on state highway 74 to turn east onto Waterloo Road, according to the report.

The cause of the collision was listed as failure to yield from a signal light.

Dana Gay Woodson, 57, of Mannford, was pronounced dead at the scene with internal and external injuries.

Driver of the tractor-trailer, Olvera-Arreola Jorge, 55, of Felda, Florida was transported by EMSA to Baptist Hospital in Edmond with neck and arm injuries. He was treated and released.

Also, treated and released for injuries was 35-year-old Bradley Scott Cordis, of McLoud, who was the driver of the dump truck. He was transported by EMSA to Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City.

The report states all three victims were wearing their seatbelt at the time of the accident.

The highway was shut down in both directions for several hours before being reopened.
