Update this suspect was apprehended Wednesday, Feb. 12 in Tulsa. Baker will be transported back to Logan County for prosecution.

Original Story

The Logan County Sheriff’s Office requests the public’s assistance in locating a sex offender that is on the run. The subject’s name is Cedric Baker.

Cedric Baker 2Baker, 43,  is a sex offender required to register for life after a 2004 conviction for three counts of rape by instrumentation and three counts of lewd acts with a minor.

Baker was convicted of failure to register as a sex offender in 2009. He was released from prison on his last failure to register charge in late 2013.

Chief Deputy Richard Stephens says Baker met with Probation and Parole, but did not register, and has not been cooperating with Probation and Parole, or the Sheriff’s Office in obtaining registration.

“We have obtained warrants to track his cell phone, and have

tracked him to two addresses near Penn and Memorial, and 122 and May in North Oklahoma City,” Stephens said.

The Sheriff’s Office and the Oklahoma City Police are attempting to track Baker down as he is a strong risk to the public.

If you have information about Cedric Baker, please contact local law enforcement or the Logan County Sheriff’s Office at (405)282-4100.
