Reading Village returns to Central Elementary

Central Elementary classes were served a special homecoming treat on Wednesday when students from Faver Alternative revived a long lost Bluejay tradition.

The “Reading Village” – pioneered by former Guthrie High School teacher Jody Webber – returned to Central. With the blessing of Central Principal Dani Watson, four Faver students shared some of their favorite childhood stories with the Central Elementary children.

This partnership plans to continue throughout the school year allowing students from both school sites to benefit from the gift of reading.
