The “Home Run for Life” series recognizes individuals in the Oklahoma City area who have overcome a significant medical event with the help of their families, physicians and health care professionals.

Davis, 22, is slated to demonstrate the unique Ekso bionic suit during the in-game recognition ceremony. In 2012, Integris Jim Thorpe Rehabilitation became one of the first 14 facilities in the world to offer the wearable robot, or exoskeleton, and enable individuals with lower-extremity paralysis or weakness to stand and walk again.

A car accident in 2010 left Davis paralyzed from the chest down. A wheelchair now provides her primary means of mobility, but the Ekso bionic suit allows her to stand and walk during outpatient therapy sessions at Integris Jim Thorpe Rehabilitation in Oklahoma City.
