A Logan County reserve deputy has been terminated after he fabricated a story of an intruder coming into his house and stabbed him in the early parts of Monday morning.
At 8:48 a.m. on Monday, the Guthrie Police Department and Logan County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a call in the 300 block of E. Mansur. The caller stated he had been stabbed by an intruder he discovered in his residence. The caller also stated he fired one shot at the intruder as he was attempting to exit the residence and missed.
Turns out there was no intruder and the assault was made up after Guthrie investigators talked to the reserve deputy on Monday and Tuesday.
The Logan County Sheriff’s Office said Adam “Bucky” Striegel, 32, was the reserve deputy who made the call.
One person, whom Striegel “positively” identified at the scene as his attacker, was detained by police officials and never was arrested at any time. Police say the falsely accused man was very cooperative with investigators.
The Logan County Sheriff’s Office has terminated the employment of Striegel.
Guthrie News Page has learned the stabbing happened by accident.
Guthrie Police will submit a report to the District Attorney’s Office for their review. There has not been an arrest in the case and Striegel was asked to go to the Logan County Sheriff’s Office. No word if he did indeed go to the Sheriff’s Office.

Does this fool know that calls went out to all parents, grandparents, and guardians of school age children due to this stunt? It scared me, as I’m sure it did countless others. For this alone, he should be charged with something.
Yes… for scaring alone he should be arrested. If only we had rules for such tom foolery!!!
We do have rules for filing false police reports though……even fake calling 911 is a crime and you can be arrested for that
