Update: Grove HS was canceled again on Friday and will not compete in the round robin this weekend. The Lady Jays will now play Tulsa Memorial on Friday and Tulsa McLain on Saturday.
The Guthrie girls basketball team has won four of their six tournament games this season, but their trip to Miami this weekend is already planned out for them.
Guthrie (7-5) already knows who they will be playing in the 66th Annual NEO High School Basketball Tournament. The NEO tourney is a round robin tournament.
The Lady Jays will begin play Thursday when they go up against Tulsa Memorial. Game time is set for 4:30 at NEO’s gym. The Lady Chargers are 8-3 this season and are currently ranked No. 5 in the state. Two of their three losses have come against top three ranked teams (Booker T. and East Central).
On Friday, Guthrie will play at 6:00, at NEO, against the Lady Ridgerunners of Grove before ending the three-day event on Saturday against Tulsa McLain. Saturday’s game will be played at the Miami Activity Center.
Guthrie is 3-3 in the past two seasons in the touranment.
