Several items stolen from school buildings in the past five months

The Guthrie Police Department is hopeful someone can identify some of the suspects from various photos after six school buildings have burglarized in the past several months. The most recent break ins occurred on Thursday morning.

Sgt. Anthony Gibbs says between Sept. 15, 2016 and yesterday that six buildings have been hit. The most recent burglaries took place inside Guthrie Upper Elementary School and Fogarty Elementary sometime on Thursday.

Surveillance cameras showed between two and five subjects taking part in the burglaries.

“Each time the subjects wore clothing which obscured their faces; however, two of the subjects appear to have been involved in each burglary,” Gibbs said.

The items that have been taken include cash, various students’ medications, three laptop computers, one 32 inch television, stuffed animals, electronics items, credit cards and other items of value.

The Guthrie Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance by asking, “If you recognize any of the persons in the photographs or have any information about the burglaries, please call the Guthrie Police Department at 405-282-3535.”
