Update: SH-33 was re-opened to vehicle traffic in both directions at 6:02 p.m.
While Oklahoma Highway Patrol continues to investigate the wreck, witness accounts said both vehicles were traveling westbound. The truck carrying a trailer with a backhoe was attempting to turn onto May Ave. from SH-33 when the semi-truck smashed into the trailer.
It appeared the semi-truck driver did not see the vehicle stopped and attempted to go around, but instead collided with the truck.
The driver of the truck, trailer and backhoe was transported to the hospital by Guthrie EMS.
Again, OHP continues to investigate.
SH-33 may be shut down for the next several hours following a two-vehicle crash, including a semi-trailer truck and a truck and trailer.
Emergency crews are at the scene SH-33 and May Ave.
One person is being transported to a Oklahoma City hospital.
The crash happened just after 3:30 p.m.
Traffic is being detoured at SH-74 and at Pennsylvania Ave.
SH-33 is expected to be shut down to traffic for the next several hours for clean up.
