Single vehicle accident on Highway 105 leaves one dead

A 39-year-old man was killed in a one vehicle accident on Saturday morning in eastern Logan County.

According to a collision report, a 2007 Pontiac was traveling westbound on State Highway 105 approaching Luther Road when it departed the roadway to the left for an unknown reason, striking a barbed wire fence.

The vehicle continued through the barbed wire fence and struck a tree.

The accident happened just after 10:30 a.m.

Brian Latterner, of Carney, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The condition of the driver and the cause of the collision remain under investigation.

The accident was investigated by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol with assistance from Guthrie EMS, Meridian Fire Department, Logan County Sheriff’s Office and the Medical Examiner’s Office.
