Despite the weather delaying the NFL Punt, Pass & Kick until Sunday morning, local boys and girls took their shot at distance and accuracy.
The Guthrie Kiwanis has now sponsored the NFL Punt, Pass & Kick for five years and this year qualified six athletes to compete at the sectional competition in Oklahoma City. One more win and a Guthrie boy or girl could be kicking inside Dallas Cowboys Stadium.
Participants punted, pass and kicked a football and each were based on distance and accuracy of their attempts.
An estimated sixty kids competed in the local event. Organizers were hoping for a few hundred participants on Saturday, but over night rain showers washed the day out.
