The Logan County SWAT team was called out to a Guthrie home earlier this week resulting in drugs and a gun being taken away. Also, inside the home were three children.
A search warrant was granted to search 116 S. Oak for marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Once the team invaded they found three adults and the children. The children were found in a nearby bedroom.
Once the home was secured, officers found a loaded 32 caliber handgun and two $20 bills on a table inside the living room. Also, near the table was marijuana inside a bag.
In the kitchen, officers located nearly five grams of white, crystal rocks that tested positive for cocaine. A more in-depth search found a digital scale, a pipe and razor blade.
Frederick Veasley, 34, Carl Rucker, 45, and David Stephens, 33, were found inside the home at the time the SWAT team entered. All three men are convicted felons and were within distance of the handgun. During the search, Jeanene Smith, 30, arrived to the home and was taken into custody.
The Department of Human Services was called to the home and the children, (ages 11, 9 and 6) were found suitable guardians.
All four adults are facing charges, including drug possession, drugs near a school and possession of a firearm. Smith is also charged with child neglect.
Veasley’s bond is set at $500,000, Stephens and Rucker was given a $100,000 bond and Smith’s was set at $30,000.
Inside the home “was” three children. What kind of grammar is this for a news paper
