The Territorial Riders have donated $1,450 to Guthrie Special Olympics following their annual Poker Run held on April 11.
The Poker Run is one of two annual fundraisers the group organizes to support local Special Olympics athletes. The organization will host its second fundraiser later this year with a golf tournament at the Guthrie Golf and Country Club.
Guthrie Special Olympics athletes are now preparing for competition, which begins May 13 in Stillwater. The day will start with the annual send-off at 8:30 a.m., as the community gathers to support and celebrate the athletes before they depart.
