Thieves hit same convenience store; other store hit too

For the second time in just over two weeks, the same local convenience store has been broken into. This time on the same morning as another convenience store was hit in southern Logan County.

AJ 3The Guthrie Police Department responded to A J’s Minimart, located at the intersection of Division St. and Sooner Rd, just after 3:30 a.m. on Tuesday. Prior to that call, the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded to Mac’s Corner at the corner of Sooner and Waterloo.

Just like the break in on Oct. 20 at A J’s, the thieves broke the lock on the door and took off with an undisclosed amount of money and cigarettes.

The first break in took place at Mac’s Corner and appears the thief(s) made their way down Sooner Rd to their next target. However, neither law enforcement department has confirmed the two crimes are connected with one another.

Officers say they are looking at possible leads, including surveillance video.

The Guthrie Police Department have released these photos. If you known any information you are urged to contact the department at 405-282-3535.
