Hardin noted, “We had a stretch goal of $192,013 this year and today we are at 98% of reaching that goal. We are extremely proud of all the effort and energy that came together to make this happen and of course thankful to the citizens of Logan County who have again supported the United Way. It is a special gift to be able to provide financial support to our partner agencies so they can continue to give service to those in need.”

United Way Coordinator, Jessica Eaves, reflected “This is my first campaign as coordinator and I have been so impressed by the vision of our Board and the enthusiasm of the tremendous group of volunteers who have worked tirelessly to make this another successful campaign. Last year the money raised and distributed among our ten partner agencies provided services to over 15,000 men, women and children living in Logan County. That is really making a difference and I am so pleased to be a part of that success story this year!”

The ten partner agencies include: God’s Food Bank, Logan County Council on Aging, Logan Community Services, American Red Cross, Boy Scouts, New Horizons, Central Oklahoma Community Action Agency, YMCA, Consumer Credit Counseling Service, and The Girl Scouts.

Steve Gentling, Board President, commented “With the contributions that are still being processed we are confident that we will reach our goal for the sixth year in a row and are very excited that the final results may reflect the largest campaign in our history. We will be celebrating that GOOD NEWS on Tuesday, February 4th at 6pm at the Masonic Temple Ballroom in Guthrie. Please come, have dinner, enjoy a short program and celebrate as Don Hardin unveils the final results of the campaign.”

Kristal Flury, Board Vice Chairman added, “To all the individuals and businesses that contributed to the United Way campaign, thank you. Thank you for making Logan County a better place, a stronger place. Thank you for caring for those in need who will be positively impacted by your generous gift. Thank you!”
