Veterans Day parade cancelled; program moved indoors

Due to the weather forecast on Monday morning, the Veterans Day Parade in downtown Guthrie has been cancelled and the program moved indoors.

American Legion Post 58 Commander Jerry Ball says all Veterans will be honored with a program inside Guthrie High School’s (GHS) North Gym in co-operation with Major Fredrickson and the JROTC of GHS.

The program will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 12.

The public is invited to attend.

Refreshments will be available at the American Legion building, located at 123 N. 1st Street, following the ceremony.

The forecast is expected to be cloudy with snow showers mainly during the morning. A morning high temperature is expected to be 38 degrees with winds from the north at 10 to 20 mph.

There is a 60 percent chance of snow with accumulations less than one inch.
