Video: Early morning fire completely destroys home

Sooner Volunteer Fire Department Chief Jeff Ware knew when he stepped outside his home and saw heavy smoke that his crew had a battle on their hands.

The fire department was dispatched to 2600 Thornbush, located off of Midwest Blvd., for a structure fire just before 7 a.m. on Tuesday. When Ware arrived on the scene the mobile home was completely engulfed with flames.

The structure fire was less than a mile from Sooner’s fire station.

The home was a complete loss with everything destroyed inside.

Ware says no one was home at the time of the fire and that it appears the start of the fire may have been an electrical issue at the electric pole.

The pole may have been tampered with, but fire crews will determine a cause with a complete investigation.

Firefighters from Woodcrest Fire Department assisted with the blaze.

There were no injuries reported at the scene.
