Video: Fire over takes two structures and vehicle

Six fire departments battled a blaze that engulfed two structures and a vehicle late Monday night.

Just before 10:30 p.m., a nearby resident walked into the Langston Police Department to report a fire at the intersection of Martin Luther King and Turner Street, which is just blocks from Langston University.

As firefighters arrived they found two homes and a vehicle fully-involved with smoke and flames.

The heavy smoke filled the neighborhood and parts of the town.

According to the witness, the vehicle caught fire and then quickly spread to the homes.

Law enforcement says the homes were vacant at the time of the fire.

Fire crews from Langston, Coyle, Meridian, Guthrie, Woodcrest and Oak Cliff assisted with the fire. Firefighters were on the scene into the early morning hours.

The fire remains under investigation, including exactly what sparked the blaze.

There were no immediate injuries reported at the scene.
