The Guthrie High School baseball team has six weeks left in the regular season. It is highly doubtful they hear a National Anthem like what they heard on Tuesday night.
Deanna Davenport’s kindergarten class, on the request of Jays head baseball coach Casey Porter, sang the anthem before the start of the Bluejays game with Piedmont.
All decked out in their green t-shirts, the class did not miss a beat and receive a nice ovation from the stands and field. Afterwards, the students gave each Bluejay player and coach a high-five as they left the field.
