Wallace, Pfeiffer and Mize assigned committees for 57th Oklahoma Legislature

OKLAHOMA CITY – House Speaker Charles McCall announced committee assignments for standing House committees and appropriation subcommittees of the 57th Oklahoma Legislature, including Republican Representatives Kevin Wallace, John Pfeiffer and Garry Mize.

“I am thankful that we have 101 members who are willing to roll up their sleeves and serve where they are most needed,” said McCall, R-Atoka. “The session is almost here, and there is a lot of hard work to do between now and June. I am confident that we will accomplish much during the next five months that will better Oklahoma and improve the lives of our citizens.”

Wallace (R-Wellston), who was first elected in 2014, will again serve in a leadership role by serving as the chair of Appropriations and Budget (A&B). In addition, he will serve on the Banking, Financial Services and Pensions, Energy and Natural Resources and Wildlife committees.

Also serving his third term, Pfeiffer (R-Orlando) will serve as the Deputy Floor Leader and sit on the Agriculture and Rural Development, Appropriations and Budget,  Business and Commerce and Energy and Natural Resources.

In his first term in office, Mize (R-Guthrie) will serve as the Assistant Floor Leader and sit on the A&B Finance Banking, Financial Services and Pensions, Government Efficiency and Public Health committees.

The first day of session will be Feb. 4.
