Guthrie’s Zach Allen and Holden Ingram were among the talented FFA members inside Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis for the 95th annual FFA Convention. They walked out of the stadium as one of the best teams in the nation.
The two freshmen competed in the Power, Structural, and Technical Systems category Division 2 of the competition. After taking the top spot in Oklahoma, the duo advanced to the FFA Agriscience Fair national competition held last week.
To qualify, FFA members working as individuals or teams in grades seven through 12 are required to conduct a scientific research project pertaining to the agriculture or food science industries and win their state’s FFA agriscience fair.
Zach and Holden finished third overall behind the teams from California and Florida.
