The Guthrie Chamber of Commerce is set to host a City Council Ward I Candidate Forum, providing an opportunity for voters to hear directly from the four candidates vying for the open seat. The forum will take place on Monday, Jan. 27, at 6:30 p.m. inside Guthrie City Hall, located at 101 N. 2nd Street. The event is open to the public.
Moderated by Chamber CEO Brittany Timmons and Chris Evans of Guthrie News Page, the forum will also be broadcast live on the Guthrie News Page Facebook and YouTube pages, as well as the Guthrie Chamber of Commerce Facebook page.
The four candidates seeking the Ward I seat are Menecca Gibbs, Robin Crist, Brian Stone, and Franklin Danley. Community members are encouraged to submit questions for the candidates by emailing [email protected].
The election is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 11, with early voting available on Feb. 6 and Feb. 7 at the Logan County Election Board. This forum provides a vital platform for voters to engage with the candidates and make informed decisions about the future of Ward I.
