Following a road playoff win in Lawton, the Guthrie Bluejays look to continue their momentum in the Class 5A playoffs against the undefeated Collinsville Cardinals.
Guthrie travels to Collinsville for a 7 p.m. quarterfinal matchup. The game can be seen on the Guthrie News Page YouTube page, or can be heard on 93.7 FM KSPI beginning at 6:30 p.m. with the pregame show.
The Bluejays picked up their first playoff win since 2018 in the 42-39 win over Lawton MacArthur last week.
Guthrie enters with a 6-2 record, while Collinsville stands at a perfect 10-0.
Many teams throughout the state saw cancelations due to COVID, but the Cardinals were able to play all 10 regular season games. However, due to COVID, Collinsville had their first two playoff games canceled due to the virus.
This will be the third meeting between the schools with all three coming in the playoffs. Guthrie won the state semifinal game inside Jelsma Stadium in 2013, 45-13. In 2018, the Cardinals won the quarterfinal game, 45-13.
